Compare the text banner with 120 dpi and 96 dpi and see what you think. My test case is the web edition of the New York Times. The plus - web page content, both image and font, looks sharper and cleaner to my eye. There's both a plus and minus from inhibiting scaling and using lower, but-native-to-the-hardware, resolution. Time will tell if this configuration is video-stable. Dell and Microsoft and Radeon should be embarrassed to ship a new machine with a combination of fundamental hardware and software that is inherently unstable.
